Senior Creative Designer / Studio Manager
Salary scale: Excellent package for the right candidate
We are currently searching for Senior Designer to lead a small but busy studio. With 4 years solid agency experience, the Senior Designer will manage and control workloads, work under experienced creative direction as well as being able to take projects from start to finish by their self. The role is extremely ‘hands on’ and the whole team wear many hats!
Personality: Mature with the ability to be ‘serious’ when needed and relaxed for the rest of the time. Pressure comes with the job and the ability to cope with it, is a necessity. Deadlines have to be met and the hours worked to do it.
Management: Strict quality standards are essential, as is the ability to lead, motivate and guide a small team. The ability to liaise with clients is a must and the understanding to deliver quality work on time and to budget is essential.
Types of work: Packaging, TV commercials, literature, direct mail, advertising & campaign management, corporate identity, exhibitions and large format, point of sale, creating repro-ready artwork files, in-house presentations and web design.
Craft skills: Illustration, typography, concepts, reprographics, design and artwork.
Software packages: Freehand, Quark, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, HTML & Flash, Indesign and Powerpoint with Director and Keynote as a bonus.
Apple Mac skills: Understanding the Apple Mac systems are important and the ability to upgrade and keep the system running smoothly. Strict organisational skills for archiving work and backing up in-house software is essential.
